11 Transaxle Removal & Installation
Transaxle Installation – All Models
17. Install the elbow fitting (D, Figure 15) into the port on
the bottom of the Hydrostatic Unit housing, and
secure. Install the preformed drain hose (C) to the
elbow and secure to the elbow with a new clamp.
18. Install the hydrostatic pump fan shaft (D, Figure 16)
with fan (E) on the rear of the Hydrostatic Unit hous-
ing.
19. Remove the plug from the hole in the top of the
transaxle, and install the hydraulic system fill tube (C).
20. Fill the transaxle reservoir to the proper level (refer to
Section 3, MAINTENANCE).
21. Install the hydraulic return line elbow (B) to the fitting
on the top left side of the Hydrostatic Unit.
22. Install the hydraulic pressure hose (A) to the fitting on
the top right side of the Hydrostatic Unit.
23. Adjust all tractor drive controls (refer to Section 4,
ADJUSTMENTS).
24. Install the foot rest assembly (refer to Section 14,
HOOD, DASH & FOOT REST SERVICE).
25. Install the seat deck assembly (refer to Section 15,
SEAT & SEAT DECK SERVICE).
