With the DCC Editor based on CFC, technology functions with DCC for SINAMICS drives can
be configured graphically. The following figure illustrates the data flow of the configuration data
when configuring with SINAMICS DCC. The figure also shows the options for protecting the
configured/programmed DCC source files:

Protecting commissioning computers
Make sure that your commissioning computer runs in a secure environment and that the logon
is protected via a secure password.
Using know-how protection
DCCs, DCC libraries, programs and backup files are subject to an increased risk of
manipulation. Therefore, use the know-how protection, the write protection for drive units and
the know-how protection for DCC charts and DCC libraries in STARTER.
