Procedure for installation and startup
The following procedure is recommended for installation and startup of a
SINEC L2–DP slave module:
1. Set and check the following data on the module in accordance with
Sections 2.1.1 and 2.2.1:
Bus interface
Address range (number of input and output bytes)
Module number (base address) and
Address window.
2. Install the module in the control
Switch off the control
Plug the module into a valid slot (see [2], [3] or [4])
Set the station address on the front panel in accordance with Sections
2.1.2 and 2.2.2.
Connect the module to the SINEC L2–DP field bus
Switch on the control (POWER ON) and perform a RESTART of the
PLC if required.
3. Modify the configuration of the master (IM 308–B):
Add the configuration data of the new station to the existing program
file
Write the memory module for the IM 308–B
Program and activate monitoring and diagnostics functions on the
master and slave sides.
