To configure the slave interface of the IM 328–N, select the screen form ”Con-
figuring” in the field ”Station type” of the type ”ET 200U” (up to COM ET
200 V3.x, use the type ”IM 318–B”).
This sets the protocol for the IM 328–N to the SINEC L2–DP protocol up to
V3.x.

The SINEC L2–DP slave module (IM 328–N) must be selected with the confi-
guration form of type ET 200U.
Station name:
You can enter a name for the station here (all keyboard characters are allowed)
First free address:
The address of the first free byte is displayed for

Configuration field:
Depending on the address range, you can enter the following address identi-
fiers in these input fields:
8DI or 009
for 8 digital inputs (1 IB)
for address range 4, 8 and 16 bytes
8DA or 017
for 8 digital outputs (1QB)
011
for 16 digital inputs (1 IB)
for address range 32 bytes
019
for 16 digital outputs (2 QB)
For an address range of 4, 8 or 16 bytes, first the address identifier 8DI and
then the address identifier 8DQ must be entered 4 times, 8 times or 16 times in
the configuration field (or the corresponding decimal number).
For an address range of 32 bytes, first the address identifier 011 and then the
address identifier 019 must be entered 16 times in the configuration field.
Pressing the ENTER softkey stores the configuration data for this station in the
specified program file.
