ADVIA 1800 Operator’s Guide

 

Cleaning the large water pump (LWP) filter 

Materials required: 

•   Small brush 

•   Deionized water 

Time: 20 minutes 
Analyzer mode: OFF 

 

BIOHAZARD 

Wear personal protective equipment. 
Use universal precautions. 

NOTE: 

This filter removes dust and foreign matter from the water circulation system. 

This water is used to clean the probes, mixers, and cuvettes

. 

  CAUTION 

Turn the analyzer 

OFF

 while cleaning the LWP filter.

At the Operation Panel, select 

System(s)

, then select 

Exit

.

When the Startup window opens, switch the analyzer to 

OFF

. 

3.

 

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 2 screws 

(

) from metal bracket securing 

the water filter.

Be sure to label the right and left sides of the LWP filter before removing it.
