Selection
Description
Render Mode
Renders the volume using the selected rendering method:
Opacity
— Smoothes image contours, creating a soft, sculptured appearance for
highlighting surface features. Uses the selections for opacity percentage, thresholds, and
smoothing.
MinIP
(Minimum Intensity Projection) — Limits the display to minimum-value pixels by
selecting pixels with the lowest value along each projection of the volume. May be helpful in
visualizing hypo-echoic lesions and large vascular structures.
MaxIP
(Maximum Intensity Projection) — Limits the display to maximum-value pixels by
selecting pixels with the highest value along each projection of the volume. May be helpful
in visualizing hyper-echoic structures and fetal skeletons.
MeanIP
(Mean Intensity Projection) — Limits the display to average-value pixels by
selecting pixels with the arithmetic mean (average) value along each projection of the
volume.
Gradient Light
— Simulates the reflection of light off a surface, resulting in improved depth
perception.
Amnioscopic
— Simulates scattering of directed light within an object, producing
translucency and shadowing effects.
Surf. Shading
— Heightens contrast, creating a textured appearance for highlighting
internal features. Uses the selected shading, opacity percentage, and thresholds.
Note:
Surf. Shading is available only when CDE is activated.
Note:
Only Opacity, Gradient Light, and Amnioscopic rendering modes are available when
skeletal rendering is activated.
Note:
For systems without a touch screen, the selection is on the LED panel.
Format
Selects a display format:
1:1
— Displays only the selected quadrant, in full-screen display format.
4:1
— Displays all four quadrants.
2:1
— Displays the acquisition plane on the left of the screen and the volume on the right.
1:3
— Displays the volume on the left of the screen and the three MPRs on the right.
Note:
For systems without a touch screen, the selection is assigned to a soft key.
VOI
3-Scape Volume of Interest
Activates or deactivates the volume of interest.

Low Thresh
Low Threshold
Sets the low threshold for the opacity curve. Removes 2D-mode data (voxels) from the volume
that have values lower than the selected threshold.

Note:
For systems without a touch screen, the selection is on the LED panel.
