When connected to the device via a USB cable, the latest drivers are loaded and
installed directly from sick.com. For this to happen, the configuration PC must have
an Internet connection.

be loaded directly from the device.

Setting 2D LiDAR sensor online
By connecting the SOPAS project and the 2D LiDAR sensor, parameters and configuration
data of the 2D LiDAR sensor can be read into the SOPAS project or written from SOPAS to
the 2D LiDAR sensor.
During the initial commissioning, the standard parameters saved on the 2D LiDAR sensor
at the factory are transferred to the SOPAS project and then adapted to the requirements
of the relevant application there.
