(2) Inspection
1. Remove the timer from the mower, and
connect the (+) terminal of a battery to terminal C.
2. Connect the cord with lamp for the tester to
terminal A and the (+) terminal of the battery.
3. Connect terminal B to the (-) terminal on the
battery, and confirm that the tester lamp flashes
on and off normally at 1-second intervals.
If the lamp does not flash at normal intervals, replace
the timer.
5) Seat switch (A4620 0290)
(1) Installation location and operation
The seat switch is installed beneath the seat.
When the driver sits on the seat, the switch comes
ON and the engine can be started.
If the driver leaves the seat (such as in an
emergency) while the engine is running, the engine
will stop.
(2) Inspection
1. Connect a tester to the switch to check that
there is no continuity.
2. Check that there is continuity when the top of the
switch is pressed down.
If the above conditions are not met, replace the
switch.
6) Key switch (38520 1860)
(1) Installation location and operation
The key switch is installed on the bottom right side
of the dashboard.
HEAT ······Position for removing residual heat from the
combustion chamber. Automatically returns
to OFF when released.
OFF ········Position for turning the engine off. The key
can be removed.
ON ··········Position when the engine is running
START ···Position for starting the engine.
Automatically returns to ON when released.
