11) Water temperature sensor (38572 0011)
(1) Installation location and operation
The water temperature sensor is installed on
the engine thermostat case.
The engine water temperature is always
displayed by the water temperature
thermometer on the panel.
(2) Removing the switch
1. Remove the switch wiring.
2. Drain the antifreeze, and then remove the
switch.
(3) Inspection
1. Connect the water temperature sensor to a
tester and measure the resistance value.
Replace the water temperature sensor if it
does not show the standard resistance value.

2. The needle on the water temperature
thermometer indicates temperature as shown
in the figure on the right.
3. If the above conditions are not met, replace
the switch and/or water temperature
thermometer.
