5) Measure the piston pin hole diameter and the piston
pin external diameter. Replace the piston if the
value exceeds the usage limit.

5. Connecting rods
1) Inspect the connecting rods for distortion,
parallelism, and damage.
Use a connecting rod aligner to measure for
distortion and parallelism. Make repairs if the
values exceed the required repair level.

2) Measure the internal diameter of the connecting rod
small end bush. Replace the bush if the clearance
with the piston pin exceeds the usage limit.
3) Install the connecting rod on the crankshaft. Replace
the connecting rod if it exceeds the usage limit.
