3. Check that there is continuity while the rod is
pulled out of the switch.
4. If the above conditions are not met, replace
the switch.
8) PTO safety switch (A4620 0250)
(1) Installation location and operation
The PTO safety switch
is installed beneath
the mower clutch lever
.
Electricity flows while the mower clutch lever is
in the OFF position, allowing the engine to be
started.
(2) Removing the switch
1. Remove the battery (-) terminal.
2. Remove the spring from the switch.
3. Remove the switch wiring from the main
harness.
4. Remove the adjustment nuts, and then
remove the switch.
(3) Inspection
1. Connect a tester to the switch wiring.
(See the figure on the right.)
2. Check that there is continuity while the rod is
in the switch.
3. Check that there is no continuity while the rod
is pulled out of the switch.
4. If the above conditions are not met, replace
the switch.
