4) Disassembly and assembly
1. Brakes
1. Brake drums
1) Remove the hub cap and split pin , and then
remove the castle nut and washer .
2) Use a puller to remove the brake drum .
Remove the key from the shaft.
2. Brake shoes
1) Remove the brake shoe and springs .
2) Remove the brake shaft and brake lever , if
necessary.
2. Motor
1. End cover (valve housing)
1) Clamp the motor in a vise, and then remove the
four bolts .
2) Lift and remove the end cover .

CAUTION:
1. Clean the motor before disassembling it.
2. Since it is necessary to set the timing of the
motor, make an alignment mark on each case
and shaft before disassembling the motor.

CAUTION:
1. Remove the cover with the balance plate
still installed inside.
2. Apply grease to the cover before assembling
it again.
