6) Remove the split pin
from the tie rod, remove the
nut
, and then remove the tie rod assembly
.
7) Lift the hydraulic motor with a hydraulic jack, and
remove the snap ring and washer on the top of the
king pin (motor bracket).
8) Lower the hydraulic jack, and pull out the motor
bracket together with the hydraulic motor, downward.
9) Remove the pivot shaft clamp
from the rear of the
pivot shaft, and then pull out the shaft
from the
rear.
10) Remove the front axle
from the main unit.
1. Pivot shaft bush
Replace the bush if there is rattling or play at the front or
back of the front axle.
CAUTION:
1. Do not separate the hydraulic hose.
2. Carefully store the thrust washer (top), thrust
needle bearing, and thrust washer (bottom) to
avoid losing them.
Pay careful attention to the correct orientation of
the thrust washer (bottom). [The R surface should
face down.]
