After replacing the injection pump, cam shaft assembly, and cylinder block, use the following procedure to adjust the
[SHPGRP] injection timing.
1) Insert a 0.5mm shim into the injection pump, and perform
assembly according to the previous procedure.
2) Remove the delivery holder from the front side (radiator
side) of the injection pump.
3) Remove the delivery valve (IN), and install the delivery
holder.
4) Move the governor lever in the Increase Fuel direction.
The No. 1 piston (front side) releases fuel at around 25
degrees before upper dead center during compression,
and fuel flows from the delivery holder.
5) From the condition in step 4), carefully rotate the
crankshaft in the clockwise direction until the flow of fuel
from the deliver holder stops.
If reading of the piston position before upper dead center
is too slow at this point, use a thinner shim; if it is too fast,
use a thicker shim.
6) Assemble the delivery valve (IN) in its original location.

CAUTION:
When installing the delivery holder, set the
installation surface of the main unit level so
that the delivery valve (OUT) is in a normal
position.
