Helm Storage Compartment
A large storage compartment is located forward of the helm.
An acrylic door secured with flush slam latch provides access
to the compartment. The door could be damaged or hurt a
passenger by the motion of the boat if it is allowed to swing
free. It should be in the closed position and latched when-
ever the boat is underway.
The compartment is designed to store dunnage and to provide
access to the back of the helm for service and to install elec-
tronics. It also provides access the pressure water pump and
strainer located in the compartment, below the helm.
Back-to-Back/Lounge Seat and Cooler (Optional)
The optional companion seat is a back-to-back seat or a sun
lounge. To convert the seats to a lounge, lift and pull the
front and rear seat bases out until they lay flat. To convert the
lounge to back-to-back seats, lift the center cushions slightly,
then lift and push the seat bases toward the center of the lounge
until the seat backs are in the upright position. The seats will
automatically lock in the full up position.
There is a removable cooler below the lounge seat. It is se-
cured by the seat frame and a spring loaded retainer attached
to the frame at the center of the cooler. To remove the cooler,
pull the top knob on retainer until the latch pin is free. Rotate
the retainer until it is horizontal. Secure the cooler by rotat-
ing the retainer down until automatically locks in the vertical
position.
Rod Racks
There is one recessed rod storage rack located below the gun-
nel on the port side of the cockpit. It is equipped with stretch
cords to secure the rods to the racks. Always make sure the
rods are properly secured in the storage racks with the rod
tips forward.
Ski Storage Compartment
There is a large storage compartment for water skis and equip-
ment located below the cockpit sole, between the helm and
passenger seats. A drain rail around the hatch channels water
away from the compartment to a through hull fitting in the
transom.
A gas spring holds the hatch in the open position and a flush
twist latch holds it closed.
The latch handle can be stored in
the open or secured position. There is a large red dot in the
handle that indicates that the latch is in the open position
and the hatch is not secure. Always make sure the hatch is
closed with the latch in the secured position before operating
the boat above idle speed.
The batteries are located in on the port side of the ski storage
compartment behind a removable panel. A label with the
scout wiring code is in the compartment near the batteries.
