helm station clamp is properly secured with the safety pin
when the helm is closed.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE HELM STATION CLAMP
IS PROPERLY SECURED AND THE SAFETY PIN IS
IN PLACE BEFORE OPERATING OR TRANSPORTING
YOUR BOAT. IF THE HELM STATION IS NOT
PROPERLY SECURED, IT COULD OPEN
UNEXPECTEDLY AND DAMAGE THE BOAT OR
CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE HELM
BE OPENED WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. THIS
COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL, DAMAGE
TO THE BOAT, AND INJURY TO PASSENGERS.
Cabin Door and Hatch
The cabin door and hatch are made of acrylic plastic glass.
The two-piece hatch is hinged in the middle and on the for-
ward edge. It is held in the full open or closed position by
two gas charged hatch lifters. A lockable latch secures the
door and hatch in the closed position. The cabin door is not
completely water tight and it is normal for some water to drip
into the cabin during heavy rains or when washing the boat.
The cabin door is hinged in the center and folds against the
side of the cockpit. A draw latch on the folding door and a
receiver on the frame secure the folding door when it is closed.
There is a special magnetic latch in the cockpit next to the
door and a snap to secure it in the folded, open position. It is
very important that the cabin door is secured properly in the
open or closed position. The door could be damaged or hurt
a passenger by the motion of the boat if it is allowed to swing
free. The door and hatch should be in the closed position
and latched whenever the boat is underway. The magnetic
latch that holds it in the open position could allow the door
to slam closed in rough water.
When securing the door and hatch, the door must be closed
first. It is closed by releasing it from the magnetic latch and
inserting the edge into the receiver on the port side of the
frame as the door is unfolded and closed. Then the secure
door with the draw latch at the center hinge. Unfold the
hatch and push it down until it is secured by latch at the top
of the door.
The door and hatch are made of acrylic plastic glass. Acrylic
glass scratches easily and can chip. Please refer to the Rou-
tine Maintenance chapter for information on the proper care
and maintenance of acrylic plastic glass.
ALWAYS SECURE CABIN DOOR AND HATCH
WHENEVER VESSEL IS IN MOTION OR IN ROUGH
WATER CONDITIONS. DO NOT SIT, STAND OR
PLACE HEAVY OBJECTS ON DOOR OR DOOR
HATCH.
Back-to-Back/Lounge Seat and Cooler (Optional)
The optional companion seat is a back-to-back seat or a sun
lounge. To convert the seats to a lounge, lift and pull the
front and rear seat bases out until they lay flat. To convert the
lounge to back-to-back seats, lift the center cushions slightly,
then lift and push the seat bases toward the center of the lounge
until the seat backs are in the upright position. The seats will
automatically lock in the full up position.
There is a removable cooler below the lounge seat. It is se-
cured by the seat frame and a spring loaded retainer attached
to the frame at the center of the cooler. To remove the cooler,
pull the top knob on retainer until the latch pin is free. Rotate
