Note:
Always make sure the cooler is latched securely
before operating the boat to avoid damage to the
cooler or injury to a passenger sitting on the seat.
THE COOLER SEAT COULD SLIDE UNEXPECTEDLY
WHILE UNDERWAY CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE
BOAT OR INJURY TO A PASSENGER SITTING ON
THE SEAT IF IT IS NOT SECURED PROPERLY.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE COOLER IS LATCHED
SECURELY BEFORE OPERATING THE BOAT.
Bow Fishbox/Storage Compartment
There is a large compartment located in the bow below the
casting deck. The hatch is equipped with a gas spring and a
draw latch to secure the hatch in the closed position. The
compartment is insulated and can be used for dunnage and as
fishbox/cooler. An optional cushion is secured to the hatch
with snaps.
The compartment drains overboard to a thru-hull fitting in
the hull. Always make sure the hatches are closed and prop-
erly latched before operating the boat.
Rod Racks
There are two recessed rod storage racks located below the
gunnels on either side of the center console. Each rod rack
has stretch cords to secure the rods to the racks. Always make
sure the rods are properly secured in the storage racks with
the rod tips forward.
T-Top (Optional)
The Scout T-top is made of welded anodized or powder coated
aluminum and is designed to accommodate radio antennas,
radar antennas, outriggers and navigation lights. It is equipped
with an electronics box and a courtesy light activated by a
switch in the helm. It could also be equipped with optional
outriggers, and/or rod holders and spreader lights.
The T-top is not designed to support the additional weight of
items like a life raft. Radar and electronics antennas must be
mounted near the center section of the T-top in the area above
the legs. Do not mount any antennas or equipment to the
brow area forward of the front legs or to the rear of the top.
The T-top is not designed to support the weight of accessories
in these areas.
The warranty for the T-top will be void if the top is modified
in any way or heavy accessories like life rafts are mounted to
the top. Additionally, if items like radar antennas, spotlights
and other accessories are mounted in the wrong location, the
warranty could be void. If you intend to add equipment or
make modifications to the T-top, you should contact Scout
Customer Service to make sure the equipment you would like
to add or the intended modification will not void the warranty
on the T-top.
