The water system is equipped with a sea strainer on the intake
side of the pump. The strainer should be checked frequently
and cleaned as necessary.
Whenever the boat is left unattended, the washdown switch
should be placed in the “OFF” position.
The Washdown Hose and Selector Valve
The washdown hose is located in the cockpit. The selector
valve is used to select between fresh or raw water for the
washdown. Always purge the sea water from the system by
activating the pump and washdown hose for 15 seconds after
switching from sea water to freshwater.
DO NOT ALLOW THE WATER PUMP TO RUN DRY.
THE PUMP WORKS ON DEMAND AND WILL NOT
SHUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE TANK IS
EMPTY. THIS CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE
PUMP. ALWAYS TURN THE WATER PRESSURE
SWITCH OFF WHEN THE WATER SYSTEM IS NOT IN
USE.

Livewell
Sea water is provided to the livewell by a 12-volt circulation
pump. This pump is designed to carry a constant flow of
water to the livewell. The pump does not have a pressure
sensor and is activated by the Aerate switch in the 12-volt
switch panel. There is also a light in the livewell that is acti-
vated by the Livewell Light switch in the helm switch panel.
An overflow thru-hull built into the livewell automatically
controls the water level. Always turn the pump off at the
switch panel when the livewell is not in use.
To fill the livewell, insert the plug into the drain fitting at the
bottom of the livewell. Make sure the sea cock and the aera-
tor valve in the livewell are open. Then activate the aerate
switch. When the water level reaches the overflow, it will
begin to circulate. The flow can be controlled by adjusting
the aerator valve.
The livewell raw water intake is equipped with a scoop that
will supply water to the livewell if the pump should fail and
helps prime the system during normal operation. To supply
water to the livewell using the scoop, make sure the sea cock
valve is open and run the boat at a speed above 15 miles per
hour. Water will circulate through the livewell and out the
overflow.
To drain the livewell, turn off the livewell pump and remove
the plug in the drain fitting at the bottom of the livewell. When
the livewell has completely drained, use the washdown hose
to flush the livewell and drain of debris.
