SEL-311A Instruction Manual

If the

DNP

command is issued without parameters, the relay displays both the analog and the

binary maps, which have the following format:

If the

DNP

command is issued with an S parameter, the relay displays only the analog map;

likewise, a T causes the relay to display only the binary map. If the map checksum is determined
to be invalid, the map will be reported as corrupted during a display command, as follows:

If the map is determined to be corrupted, DNP will respond to all master data requests with an
unknown point error. If the

DNP

command is issued with an A or B parameter at level 2 or

greater, the relay requests that the user enter indices for the corresponding list, where a parameter
of A specifies the Analog list and B specifies the Binary list. The relay accepts lines of indices
until a line without a final continuation character (\) is entered. Each line of input is constrained
to 80 characters, but all the points may be re-mapped, using multiple lines with continuation
characters (\) at the end of the intermediate lines. If a single blank line is entered as the first line,
the remapping is disabled for that type (i.e., the relay uses the default analog or binary map). For
example, the first example remap could be produced with the following commands:
