Playing back the Tape
Various Functions in PLAYER mode
To view a STILL picture (Playback pause)
-
Press
(PLAY/STILL) button during playback.
-
To resume playback, press
(PLAY/STILL) button again.
Note:
Your camcorder will automatically stop if it is left for more than
5 minutes in STILL mode without operation in order to prevent
tape and head-drum wear.
To locate a scene (picture search)
-
Press
(FF) or
(REW) buttons during playback.
To resume normal playback, release the buttons.
Zero RETURN (VP-L906/L907)

The ZERO RETURN function works in PLAYER STOP mode.
✤
You can Fast Forward or Rewind to 0:00:00 automatically.
1. Set the power switch to PLAYER mode.

Make sure that STOP is displayed.
2. Press the Z.RTN button of the Remote Controller.
■
Z.RTN should displayed.
■
FF or REW works automatically.
Notes:
■
The Z.RTN button does not work when the TAPE COUNTER reads 0:00:00.
■
Set the COUNTER RESET to “C.RESET 0:00:00” in MENU mode at the start of the cassette or the required
sequence.
When you wish to find this point on the tape again, press Z.RTN button when playback is stopped.

Adjusting the LCD

The procedure for adjusting the LCD Screen in PLAYER mode is the same as the procedure for adjusting the
LCD Screen in CAMERA mode, except that the power switch must be set to PLAYER instead of CAMERA.
Please refer to page 26.
Setting the Speaker ON/OFF

The speaker will be turned ON/OFF by opening/closing the LCD.
✤
The speaker ON/OFF setting operates when the LCD is opened. When the SPEAKER setting is set to OFF,
the speaker will be muted even after the LCD Screen has been opened.
1. Set power switch to PLAYER mode.
2. Press MENU ON/OFF button, then the MENU list will appear.
3. Turn UP/DOWN dial to SPEAKER.
4. Press ENTER to choose ON or OFF.
5. Press the MENU ON/OFF button again to exit the setting
SPEAKER setting screen.
Volume control
✤
The Speakers volume can be controlled by turning the UP/DOWN
dial during playback.
Note:
The volume cannot be changed while the MENU list is visable.
