Options
The following options are used for integrated payment operations.
1.
Go to the
PROGRAM MODE \ OPTIONS \ OPTIONS
System Options
1.
Select
SYSTEM OPTION
from
OPTIONS
menu to view and set the necessary options as
indicated below:
COLLECT CARD HOLDER NAME
Select this option if you wish to print the cardholder’s name below the signature line.
TEST AS OPERATOR ID
Do not select
in live application; would print ‘test’ as the operator ID.
GRATUITY FLAG
Select from the options:
Do not prompt for TIP on Pin Pad;
Prompt for TIP on Pin Pad; or
Prints a blank TIP and Total Line on the Receipt.
DISABLE AMOUNT CONFIRMATION
Check this option if you wish to turn off the amount confirmation on the PIN-Pad when credit card
transactions are performed.
Print Option
1.
Select
PRINT OPTION
from the
OPTIONS
menu. Set the following options as desired:
COPY OF EFT RECEIPT
Indicate the desire number of copies of the credit transaction receipt to be printed.
Set HASH Options
Gift Cards sold are typically setup as HASH items. The Sam4POS series registers have various options
affecting the reporting of HASH sales. In all Cases, the HASH option ‘Updates Sales (Receipt) Total’
must be checked. If the HASH sale does not add to the sale, and the gift card sale is tendered to a credit
card, the register will attempt to authorize a zero amount, which will result in a processor error.

from the
OPTIONS
menu selections.

Verify that the options below are checked:
UPDATES SALE(RECEIPT) TOTAL S
UPDATES HASH TTL ON FINAN/SFT RPT
UPDATES DRAWER TOTALS REPORT
HASH Descriptor Program Note
When the HASH function is used exclusively for gift card sales, it may be useful to change the report
descriptor “HASH TOTAL” to read “GIFT CARD SALES”.

Go to
PROGRAM MODE
and select
RECEIPT & MESSAGE
, select
REPORT MESSAGE
,
then select
FINANCIAL REPORT
.
2.
Scroll down to line
#22
and edit the
“HASH TOTAL”
message to read
“GIFT CARD SALES”
.
3.
Press
“OK”
to exit and save your programming.
