1 Introduction
INTRODUCTION This manual provides information on the operation, maintenance, and
calibration of the Rosemount Model P330 Pressure Validator and the
Rosemount Model P330 Hydraulic Pressure Validator. It is organized
into the following sections:
Section 1: Introduction
This section presents a manual overview, a description of the validator,
an explanation of safety messages, a product shipping list, and
instructions on how to use the diagrams in this manual.
Section 2: Hardware Controls and Connections
This section describes power sources and battery installation, the
pneumatic controls, and the electrical controls.
Section 3: Software Functions
This section describes the Model P330 software functions. It introduces
the keypad and the display panel and provides a complete listing of all
menus for each key.
Section 4: Validator Setup
This section describes the Setup functions, which allow you to set
display parameters, store mode parameters and all the settings, such as
units, language, RS232 settings, powerdown, and calibration.
Section 5: Validator Procedures
This section describes all the Basic validation procedures and gives
setup diagrams for each.
Section 6: Using Advanced Task Mode
This section describes the Advanced task modes, which allow you to set
input, process, and output parameters, and also to define tasks.
Section 7: Using the Hydraulic Validator
This section is for users of the Rosemount Model P330 Hydraulic
Validator. It describes procedures and special safety precautions related
to using the hydraulic validator.
Section 8: Using the Store Function
This section describes the Store functions, Datalog, and Snapshot,
which allow you to store and recall validation files. Datalog, a special
Store mode function that allows you to log displays manually or at
preset intervals and download this data to a computer, is described
here.
Section 9: Specifications and Reference Data
This section provides validator specifications and data about the
validator’s configuration. This section is a good reference if the
validator needs service.
Appendix A: Calibration
This section describes calibration of the validator. It is suggested that
these procedures be done only by an accredited calibration service.
