P-Display Task Mode Procedure
1. Ensure that the validator is turned off.
2. Set the pressure/vacuum knob to + or – as required.
3. Connect the unit being tested to the reference pressure port on
the validator using a 1 /
8
–27 NPT coupling device and a pneumatic
hose.
4. Turn on the validator and allow it to go through its self-test
process (about 15 seconds).
5. Press the
TASK
key, then select
P-DISPLAY
. Press
ENTER
(Figure
5-12).
6. Press the
OUTPUT
key to change units and turn off the 24 V power
source, if necessary.
7. Press the
SETUP
key, then select
STORE MODE .
In the
STORE MODE
menu, select
DATA LOG .
Press
ENTER
.
8. Press the
STORE
key. Set up a data log file as follows:
a. Press F1 to enter a new value for the highlighted parameter.
b. Press § and © to enter digits.
c. Press
¶
and
Ä
to move to the next digit.
d. When the correct value is displayed, press
ENTER
.
e. Press
¶
and
Ä
to highlight the next parameter.
f. When all values have been entered, press
F2
to exit the
SETUP
screen and return to the
TEST
screen.
9. Press the
STORE
key to start the logging process. Apply a series of
test pressures to the transmitter. At each pressure, use the arrow
keys to type in the displayed reading, then press
F1 to log the
data point as shown here:
a. Press F1 to change the display value.
b. Press the ¶ and Ä to scroll through digits.
c. Press © to move to the next digit.
d. Press
ENTER
to accept the displayed value.
e. Press the
STORE
key again, then
F1
to enter the next data
point.
10. To log the final test point, press the
STORE
key, then F2
STOP
LOGGING
to stop logging data.
11. Open the release valve to release system pressure before
disconnecting.
