Hardware Functions
P-P Task Mode Procedure
1. Ensure that the validator is turned off.
2. Open the release valve on the validator.
3. Set the pressure/vacuum knob to + or – as required.
4. Connect the unit being tested to the reference pressure port on
the validator using a

/

–27 NPT coupling device and a pneumatic
hose.
5. Connect the external transducer to the unit being tested and to
the external transducer connection on the external interface
panel of the validator.
6. Turn on the validator and allow it to go through its self-test
process (about 15 seconds).
7. Press the
TASK
key, then select
P-P
mode. Press
ENTER
.
8. Press the
OUTPUT
key to change pressure units and to set
24 VOLTS
to off if necessary.
9. Close the release valve until it is tight.
10. Take the pressure reading.
11. Open the release valve to release system pressure before
disconnecting.
Pressure-to-Display
(P-Display) Mode
Pressure-to-Display, or P-Display, is a special application of Datalog. In
this test, the validator is set up to log data, at either manual or
automatic intervals, and download the data to a file that you have
preset.
For more information on Datalog functions, see Section 8 Using the
Store Function. To perform a P-Display test, refer to Figure 5-11 for
the hookup diagram and proceed as follows:
