EQUIPMENT NEEDED It is essential to use the proper testing equipment for calibration. Table
10-2 lists the equipment necessary to ensure accurate testing results.

CALIBRATION CHECK
PROCEDURE The calibration check consists of comparing the validator to a known
standard. When performing the check, it is important to:
• Use repeatable and linear pressure sources
• Allow adequate stabilization time before calibration (a minimum
of one hour)
• Conduct the check in a temperature- and humidity-controlled
environment free from drafts, with the recommended
temperature 21 °C ±2 °C.
NOTE
It is recommended that the calibration check be done at 0, 20, 40, 60,
80, and 100% of Full Scale on an ascending and descending run.
Entering the Calibration
Menu To enter the
CALIBRATION
menu:
1. Press the
SETUP
key.
2. Use Ä to highlight
SETTINGS .

CALIBRATION .

4. Type in the four-digit PIN:
a. Use ¶ and Ä to scroll through digits.
b. Use

to move to next position.
c. When the PIN is entered, press
ENTER

NOTE
The default PIN is 4321.
5. In the
CALIBRATION
menu, use ¶ and Ä to highlight the desired
parameter for calibration. Press
ENTER
.
6. Follow the prompts on the display to proceed with the test.
7. Press E
XIT
to exit the
CALIBRATION
menu.
NOTE
Adjustment should be done only by knowledgeable persons. It is
recommended that adjustment be done only by the manufacturer.
