COMMON PROBLEMS
WITH SOLUTIONS Use the table below to resolve common problems that may occur when
operating the Model P330.

Problems
MAINTENANCE There are no user-serviceable parts on the validator. The validator must
be serviced only by a Rosemount-approved service provider.
Do not use replacement parts other than those supplied by the
manufacturer or the manufacturer’s agent.
In the event of an instrument malfunction, return the validator to the
manufacturer for repair and warranty work.
To contact a service representative, call the Rosemount service
telephone number on the front page of this manual.
Cleaning Clean the case and external components only with a damp cloth and
mild detergent.
NOTE
Do not use any type of solvent to clean the validator.
Problem Action For More Information:
The pressure reading is not
accurate. Recalibrate the Model P330
pressure function. See instructions for
recalibrating the Model
P330 in Appendix A.
No pressure reading is
displayed Check power source and
connections, especially
pneumatic. See Section 2: Hardware
Controls and
Connections.
Pressure output reading
does not stabilize, even
with fine tuning. The instrument may be dirty.
The pneumatic lines may
need to be flushed. Contact your service
provider. Internal parts
are not accessible for the
Model P330.
Pressure output reading
continously drops. Plug pressure port to
determine if the leak is
internal Contact your service

are not accessible for the
Model P330.
Electrical values are not
changing when they should or
are reading zero with no
change. Check the power source.
