Software Functions

OVERVIEW

This section describes software functions of the Rosemount Model P330 
Pressure Validator, which include use of the validator’s keypads and 
display panel to access the validator’s menus. This information is 
preliminary and essential to performing all the setup and validation 
procedures described in this manual.

SAFETY MESSAGES

Procedures and instructions in this section may require special 
precautions to ensure the safety of the personnel performing the 
operations. Information that raises potential safety issues is indicated 
by a warning symbol ( ). Refer to the following safety messages before 
performing an operation preceded by this symbol.

CONTROL PANEL

The control panel consists of the display panel, the three keypads, and 
the validation sockets, as shown in Figure 3-1. This section describes 
the display panel and the keypads.

Electrical shock can result in death or serious injury. 

• Avoid contact with the leads and the terminals. 

Validator housing could explode causing death or serious injury.

• This Validator is not to be connected to a process. 

• External pressure source’s pressures should not exceed the Validator’s Burst 

Pressure.

Exposure to pressure leaks can cause death or serious injury. 

• Ensure that all pipes and fittings are correctly rated for the operating pressure 

and temperature.

• Remove pressure and vent the transmitter, validator, and all lines before 

disconnecting any pressure lines.

• Remove pressure and open the vent valve before switching the pressure/vacuum 

output, if the validator is equipped with one.
