Replacement of fuses
Attention
The fuse should be checked only by trained personnel,
since it is necessary to open the control unit.
The power supply fuse is 1 Amp slow blow. A spare fuse is accommodated in the control unit. The
position of the spare fuse is shown in the picture below. Fuses of the size 5×20 mm as well as
fuses of the size 6,35×32 mm can be used.

Data backup via USB interface
The unit provides data backup (system and program parameters) via USB interface (the upper
USB slot). For performing a backup the RPP7 software is used.
According to the operating systems, there are the following software versions:
• RPP7 V1.x
for Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7
32 bit
• RPP7 V2.x
for Windows XP / Vista / 7
32 bit and 64 bit
The instructions of the programs can be accessed via the help function after installation (pdf).
Note the following:
• First, install the software. Then connect the device.
• Your installation directory must have write permissions for later users.
• For connecting use the USB Cable A Plug to A plug (within scope of delivery).
• Connect only one Roland device to a PC.
• The drivers are included on the CD.
• Switch the device to backup mode (For details refer to chapter 7.10).
