In the measuring mode the measured value can be read in the display. The control unit
automatically compares the measured value with the adjusted thresholds. The result is transmitted
via the interface to the PLC and also to the front panel LED's.
During the normal measurement process no further actions on the control units are necessary with
the following few exceptions. The following situations require action directly at the control unit or an
action via the field bus interface:
•
Clear fault and error messages (see to chapter “9. Error messages, causes and remedies“)
•
Teaching of new types of metal and sheet metal thicknesses
(see section “7.7 Configuration of the program parameters“)
•
Clearing a 2-sheet condition (if configured)
The following notes for the measuring operations should be observed:
Note
Do not adjust the upper limit (“TU“) above 150 %.

Entering a measurement program for the double sheet detection

Push the

key, switch to "change" with the

Enter the password (if active)

Switch to "program parameter" and confirm with
ENTER

Select the desired program number at the control unit

Select the active sensor

Enter the nominal dimension (nominal thickness of the sheet to be processed)
(only for system type “standard”)

Specify the material (if required, perform auto detect for NF material)
8
Adjust lower limit (“low“) to 80% (default setting)
9
Adjust upper limit (“up“) to 120% (default setting)
10
Perform a Teach-In

Return into the measurement mode with the
MENU
