Commissioning Optional Equipment
If your LubriMist® Model IVT Oil Mist Generator is equipped with any of the options outlined below,
follow these instructions to commission each option.
Oil Reclamation Unit
The IVT Oil Reclamation unit uses the compressed instrument air supply connected to the IVT Oil
Mist Generator to operate the integral oil transfer pump. Additionally, a separate electrical motor
power circuit must be installed to the electric motor. Prior to starting the Oil Reclamation unit,
make the following pre-commissioning checks:
•
The Oil Reclamation unit requires that a separate electrical power and motor control circuit be
furnished and installed by the user. Ensure that the motor control system has been installed
according to all local codes and standards.
•
Ensure that the return mist header is properly installed and connected to the return mist
connection.
•
Check the oil reclamation unit reservoir drain valve and ensure that it is closed and the drain
plug is secure.
•
Open the air supply block valve to the IVT Oil Mist Generator Oil Reclamation unit.
•
Open the cabinet located on the left side of the Oil Reclamation Unit. Locate the air pressure
regulator. Using the air pressure regulator, adjust the regulated air pressure to 40 PSIG ( 2.7
Bar ). The oil pump should not start. Close and secure the cabinet door.
•
Connect the users differential pressure gauge to the top of the reservoir. Once the Oil
Reclamation Unit has been started, the by-pass air damper must be adjusted. (See figure
below). A temporary user provided compound pressure gage, with an approximate range of
0.5 – 0 - 0.5 inches of water is needed to make this adjustment. It is recommended that a
gauge similar to Dwyer Instruments model number 2301 Magnehelic Differential Pressure
Gauge be used. A plugged ¼ NPT connection located on the top of the Oil Reclamation Unit
reservoir is provided for making the temporary pressure gauge connection.
