Oil Supply Transfer Pump and Control
The IVT Oil Mist Generator has a maximum bulk oil reserve capacity of approximately 75 gallons
(US) / 284 liters. A pneumatically operated pump transfers the oil from the bulk compartment to
the main or auxiliary mist generator reservoir as need.
Control for the main oil mist generator is maintained automatically. As oil mist is generated and
dispensed out of the IVT, the oil level in the mist generating reservoir drops. The IVT controller
receives a signal from a level switch when oil level drops to a determined level. The controller
then energizes a DC voltage solenoid operated air valve, which in turn starts the pump. The
pump fills the reservoir until the switch contacts signal the controller to de-energize the air
solenoid valve. The oil level switch assembly has a second level switch contact to provide a low
level alarm signal. Both switches are hermetically sealed reed switches. An interlock is provided
through the IVT controller that makes the air heater element inoperable while a low-level alarm is
active.
The switch assembly mounts through the top of the reservoir.
The oil level for the auxiliary unit is manually maintained.
