The Right side mechanical compartment encloses the air oil heater, the mist-generating head, the
low air pressure switch and the air temperature sensors. The heater element is interlocked with
the low air pressure switch and is inoperable if the regulated air pressure is less set less than 10
PSIG. This ensures that airflow is established before power is applied to the element. A regulated
air pressure gauge is mounted on the mist generator head to indicate the regulated air pressure
being supplied to the mist generator. A manual reservoir fill port and a non-adjustable pressure
pop off valve are also provided. The oil mist discharge is automatically switched between the
main and auxiliary oil mist generator as the air supplies are adjusted.
Auxiliary Oil Mist Generator Start-Up
Using the auxiliary oil mist generator is made possible by following only a few simple steps.
1) Check the reservoir oil level and fill if necessary. The reservoir is normally filled from the bulk
oil reservoir using the air operated oil transfer pump. Filling the reservoir is accomplished by
manually opening and holding BOTH toggle valves in the open position. The toggle valves
have lever type handles with spring return. The valves will revert to the closed position if they
are not manually held in the open position. This is to prevent inadvertent overfilling
Pulling UP or pressing DOWN on the valve lever opens the valves. The toggle valve located
toward the left supplies air pressure to the oil transfer pump. The toggle valve located on the
right opens the pump discharge to the auxiliary oil mist generator reservoir.
Open and hold the air and oil toggle valves in the OPEN position. When the AIR toggle valve
is opened, the transfer pump will start to operate and the oil passes through the oil filter. If the
OIL toggle valve is not held in the open position, the oil pressure opens the check valve
located on the main oil mist generator reservoir and begins to fill the main oil mist generator
reservoir. When the OIL toggle valve is held in the open position, the check valve spring
pressure forces the oil to flow through the Oil toggle valve to fill the auxiliary oil mist generator
reservoir. While filling, monitor the oil level in the oil level gauge. The reservoir should be
filled to approximately 2/3 full.
Do not overfill the auxiliary oil mist generator
reservoir. An air space must be maintained above
the oil level for mist generation and flow between
the mist generator and the mist outlet. If your
system includes auto drain legs allowance must
be made to collect the return oil volume.
In case of oil spillage, the user or other
responsible body must ensure appropriate
cleanup and decontamination is carried out.

manual.
NOTICE:
The air supply valve to the auxiliary oil mist generator should be
opened prior to filling the reservoir. This will operate the mist outlet
valve and allow the air volume in the reservoir to vent through the
mist outlet as the oil fills the reservoir space. Also ensure that the
reservoir drain valve is closed and the plug secure
