RS-232 Service Port

Also located on the RAID Controller is a single port USB-type connector which provides
the serial RS-232 Service port interface to the controllers’ firmware program. This VT-100
interface to the firmware program provides access to the configuration utility, firmware
updates utility, maintenance, and monitoring functions. Below are the pin signals for this
connector. The OmniStor SATA Communication RS-232 cable is required for connectivity.

CAUTION:

This is not a standard USB connection. Do not connect a standard USB
cable or connect to a USB port on the Host system.
