4.4.2.22.5 Interleave Depth (K7 Option Required) (Legacy PSK modes only)
The burst error correction capability of the Reed-Solomon decoder can be extended by interleaving N code blocks,
which spreads burst errors out in the decoder. Valid interleave depths range from N = 1 (no interleaving) to N = 8.
To change the Interleave Depth, select Interleave Depth from the FEC screen, as shown in Figure 119, then press the
Enter key on the front panel.
A dialog screen displays prompting the operator to enter a new depth
using the rack’s front panel numeric keypad.
The valid Interleave Depth range is 1 to 8. The Index Entry screen is shown in Figure 120. When the new value is
entered, press the Enter key on the keypad.
