The signal strength bar, the left of the two with the
letter “S” below it, transitions from red at 0 dB Eb/N0 to green at
10 dB Eb/N0 and greater. The level in dBm is indicated above the bar.
The measurement of strength from an incoming telemetry signal by itself does not provide enough information
about the integrity of the received data. Therefore, the Data Quality Metric (DQM) is displayed to the right of the
signal strength bar, with “Q” below the graph. It transitions from red, being a zero (0) quality, to green, being a
quality of 10. The DQM level is displayed at the top of the bar.
4.4 Navigation
The Rack-
Mount Receiver’s traditional hierarchical menu structure is navigated using the arrow and Enter keys on
the front panel keypad, as shown in Figure 16.
