4.4.2.26.1 Noise Generator
The Noise Generator, shown in Figure 133, optionally sums AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) with the
received signal to achieve the desired E

. Since the bit error rate of an ideally modulated signal at any given

is known and should be readily reproducible, the Noise Generator may be used to verify transmitter or
receiver RF integrity. Two parameters are available: Test Noise and Noise Level.
