Configuring the Forum 523/524

Configuration

Proceed as follows:

In the Configurator, call up the

System

Restart

menu.

Click on

Restart with Defaults

Confirm this by pressing “OK” when the query dialogue box opens.

Basic Hardware Settings Switch

The Forum 523/524 configuration can also be returned to the factory
settings by means of the basic hardware settings switch.

Please note:

If the factory settings are restored, all customer settings and
user data will be lost.

To restore the Forum 523/524 basic settings, proceed as described in the
following paragraphs.

Switch off the Forum 523/524 by disconnecting the power plug.

Remove the cover (see

Opening and Closing Forum 523/524

CAUTION!

Static charges can damage electronic devices. Observe the
regulations regarding electrostatically sensitive components.

The basic settings switch is designed as a key switch. The location of the
switch can be found in the chapter entitled

Interface Cards

starting on

page 37. Press and hold the switch.

Replace the power plug in the mains socket. Wait about 30 seconds until
the indicator on the front of the Forum 523/524 constantly flashes.

Release the key switch.

The system data is now reset.

Push the cover all the way down.
