blades with one wide r than the othe r . A
g r ounding ty p e p lug has two blades and a thi r d
g r ounding pr ong. The wide blade o r the thi r d
pr ong a r e pr ovided fo r you r safety. If the pr ovided
p lug does not fit into you r outlet, consult an
elect r ician fo r r e p lacement of the obsolete outlet.
P r otect the p owe r co r d f r om being walked on o r
p inched p a r ticula r ly at p lugs, convenience
r ece p tacles, and the p oint whe r e they exit f r om
the a pp a r atus.

IMPORTANT: THE MOULDED PLUG
This a pp liance is su pp lied with a moulded th r ee p in mains p lug fo r you r safety and convenience. A 5 am p fuse is fitted in this p lug.
Should the fuse need to be r e p laced, p lease ensu r e that the r e p lacement fuse has a r ating of 5 am p s and that it is a ppr oved by ASTA o r BSI to
BS1362.
Check fo r the ASTA ma r k o r the BSI ma r k on the body of the fuse.
If the p lug contains a r emovable fuse cove r , you must ensu r e that it is r efitted when the fuse is r e p laced. If you lose the fuse cove r the p lug
must not be used until a r e p lacement cove r is obtained. A r e p lacement fuse cove r can be obtained f r om you r local deale r .
If the fitted moulded plug is unsuitable for your socket outlet, then the fuse shall be removed and the plug cut off and disposed of
safely. There is a danger of severe electrical shock if the cut off plug is inserted into any 13 amp socket.
If a new p lug is to be fitted, p lease obse r ve the wi r ing code as shown below. If in any doubt, p lease consult a qualified elect r ician.

Blue : Neut r al B r own : Live
As the colou r s of the wi r es in the mains lead of this a pp liance may not co rr es p ond with the colou r ed ma r kings identifying the te r minals in
you r p lug, pr oceed as follows;
The wi r e which is colou r ed BLUE must be connected to the te r minal which is ma r ked with the
lette r N o r colou r ed BLACK.
The wi r e which is colou r ed BROWN must be connected to the te r minal which is ma r ked with the
lette r L o r colou r ed RED.
How to replace the fuse: O p en the fuse com p a r tment with a sc r ewd r ive r and r e p lace the fuse.
