DIVERSE MEDIA PLAYBACK SUPPORT
Su pp o r ts p layback of CD-R/-RW discs fo r matted fo r music CD
(CD-DA) o r CD g r a p hics (CD-G), as well as com pr essed music files
(MP3/AAC) r eco r ded on CD-R/-RW, DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, o r
DVD±R dual laye r discs (some discs may not p lay pr o p e r ly due to
unique cha r acte r istics of the individual disc, r eco r ding
cha r acte r istics, and disc conditions such as sc r atches and
soiling). Playback is also su pp o r ted fo r com pr essed music files
(MP3/AAC/WAV/AIFF) sto r ed on USB sto r age devices.
DJ SOFTWARE
Sou r ces p otentially available on the BROWSE sc r een include
DJ softwa r e, including both the accesso r y DJS pr og r am and
othe r DJ softwa r e, even without the need fo r a cont r ol disc. The
use of MIDI DJ softwa r e is also su pp o r ted. Fu r the r , by
designating the MEP-7000 as an audio out p ut device, it can be
also used fo r audio out p ut, thus eliminating the necessity of
using the mixe r to switch between music sou r ces.
HIGH FUNCTION DISPLAY
Center Display
Featu r es a wide 4.3” colo r LCD dis p lay with high luminance fo r
easy visibility. The intelligent GUI and r ota r y selecto r dial allows fo r
no-st r ess t r ack selection. Music lib r a r ies also su pp o r t the use of
jacket p hotog r a p hs.
Controller Display A/B
The ela p sed time and tem p o dis p lay featu r e to p -quality, a r ea-colo r
full-segment OEL dis p lays with high r es p onse and te rr ific visibility.
In conce r t with the cente r dis p lay, these dis p lays and indicato r s
encou r age no-st r ess DJ p lay in a wide va r iety of lighting
envi r onments.
PLAYLIST
Desi r ed t r acks can be selected f r om music lib r a r ies in USB
sto r age devices and disc media and r eco r ded on a “ p laylist,” thus
allowing t r ack selection fo r DJ p lay without the need to sea r ch fo r
the t r acks.
SCRATCH EFFECT
Equipped with scratch effects for diverse scratch sound
performance
Equi pp ed with th r ee diffe r ing sc r atch sounds, including
[SCRATCH], [TRANS], and [BUBBLE]. These new sc r atch sound
p e r fo r mances b r oaden you r DJ p lay p otential.
JOG BREAK EFFECT
Jog break effect provides original sound performance
Equi pp ed with th r ee ty p es of r emix assist function, including [JET],
[ROLL], and [WAH]. By selecting desi r ed functions, you can f r eely
cont r ol effects in r es p onse to the r otation of the jog dial, thus
c r eating a new r emix wo r ld.
AUTO MIX
Pe r fo r ms automatic continuous p layback of t r acks on the p laylist
using fou r ty p es of mix. Even when away f r om the DJ booth, mixed
music can be p layed automatically just as if a DJ was doing the
wo r k.
JOG DIAL
Fu r nished with la r ge 80 mm jog dial with sc r atch function,
allowing o p e r ations with the same sense of touch as an analog
tu r ntable.
PITCH BEND
Playback tem p o changes in di r ect r elation to the di r ection and
s p eed of jog dial r otation.
SUPER FAST PITCH BEND
Rotate the jog dial while de pr essing the PITCH BEND button to
p e r fo r m s p eed changes faste r than with no r mal p itch bend.
FRAME SEARCH
Moves the disc f r om p ause p osition in f r ame inc r ements (1/
75 sec.) when the jog dial is r otated in p ause mode.
SUPER FAST SEARCH
You can sea r ch the disc faste r than no r mal sea r ch o r t r ack sea r ch
by holding down a SEARCH button o r TRACK SEARCH button as
you tu r n the jog dial.
LIBRARY BROWSE
By making a lib r a r y of la r ge numbe r s of t r acks r eco r ded on USB
sto r age devices, t r acks can be classified into catego r ies by album,
a r tist, and gen r e, facilitating smooth t r ack selection and keywo r d
sea r ching. Fo r even sim p le r , mo r e convenient lib r a r y autho r ing,
lib r a r y autho r ing softwa r e can be downloaded f r om the following

MONITOR OUT

KEYBOARD SUPPORT
Connecting a keyboa r d via USB p o r t allows s p eedy t r ack selection
by in p utting the initial (leading) cha r acte r of t r ack and folde r
names and using the "jum p " function, o r by sea r ching fo r keywo r ds
in the LIBRARY BROWSE function; a keyboa r d also makes it
p ossible to edit p laylist names.

o p e r ations on this p laye r can be out p ut to exte r nal devices
using USB MIDI o r dedicated fo r mats. In o r de r to use this unit
to cont r ol DJ softwa r e, it is necessa r y to install a d r ive r
