Control using “Manipulator Style”
1 Connect to the computer.
The cente r dis p lay will show the [ PRO DJ ] logo.
2 Start the DJ software program.
When communication is established with the DJ pr og r am, the
MEP-7000 o p e r ates as a MIDI cont r olle r , and the status of
cont r olle r A/B and cente r dis p lay section’s buttons and
cont r ols a r e out p ut as MIDI messages.

Setting a MIDI channel
MIDI channel setting can be p e r fo r med f r om the UTILITY sc r een.
1 Press the UTILITY button.
2 Press the [PC] function button.
The cente r dis p lay will show the MIDI channel setting menu.
• Cont r olle r A uses the same channel as the cente r dis p lay,
while cont r olle r B uses a diffe r ent channel. (Facto r y defaults
a r e fo r Cont r olle r A and cente r dis p lay to be set to Channel
1, and Cont r olle r B set to Channel 2).
3 Either press the rotary selector dial, or press the select down
(

) button.
The icon will move to the r ight.
4 Turn the rotary selector dial to change the value.
Values between 1 and 16 can be set.
5 Press the rotary selector dial to confirm the value selected.
• P r ess the select u p (  ) button to cancel the selection and
r etu r n to the UTILITY sc r een.

• By designating the MEP-7000 as an audio out p ut device in the
DJ softwa r e, t r acks p layed with the DJ pr og r am can be out p ut
f r om the d r ive unit.

• While the UTILITY sc r een is being dis p layed on the cente r
dis p lay, the cente r dis p lay’s MIDI messages a r e not out p ut.
