PREPARING YOUR DJ SOFTWARE PROGRAM

CONTROLLING YOUR COMPUTER USING
THE DEDICATED COMMUNICATIONS
PROTOCOL
The MEP-7000 can be used to cont r ol not only the accesso r y DJS
softwa r e, but othe r DJ softwa r e pr og r ams su pp o r ting the MEP-
7000’s dedicated communications pr otocol.

Control in “Normal Style”
1 Connect to the computer.
When the USB connection with the com p ute r is pr o p e r ly
established, the BROWSE sc r een’s [
PC
] icon will change to
active dis p lay.
2 Start the DJ software program.
The icon will not change.
For DJS:
When communication with DJS begins, the icon will change to
the [
PC DJS
] icon.
3 Designate the MEP-7000 as an audio output device in the DJ
software.
In “No r mal style,” designating the MEP-7000 as an audio
out p ut device will enable it to out p ut t r acks p layed f r om the DJ
softwa r e. Consult you r su pp o r ted DJ softwa r e’s inst r uction
manual fo r details r ega r ding how to designate the MEP-7000
as an audio out p ut device.
For DJS:
DJS can be used to designate the MEP-7000 as an audio
out
p ut device. Consult the “No r mal Style” cha p te r of the DJS

Turn on computer power.
Install the driver.
Connect the MEP-7000 to your
