• The upper rear wall: Access to the bunk is easiest
when these connections are buckled and the front
buckle is detached.
• The side walls: The tenting straps are attached to the
side wall sills with easy-to-use buckles.
• The lower rear wall: The restraint is attached to the
lower rear wall by bolts that do not require removal for
use or stowage of the bunk restraint.
You will notice that if your Peterbilt has an upper bunk, it
has no restraint device. This is because no one should
ever be in an upper bunk when the vehicle is moving.
WARNING!
• In an accident an unrestrained person lying in
a sleeper bunk could be killed or seriously
injured. He or she could be thrown from the
bunk. Be sure anyone occupying the
sleeper is restrained while a vehicle is mov-
ing.
• Be sure that no one ever rides in the upper
bunk while the vehicle is in motion. That
person would be thrown out in an accident
and could be killed or seriously injured.
Passengers
Anyone riding in your vehicle should wear a seat belt. The
responsible operator sees to it that everyone in the vehicle
rides safely - and that means with a seat belt.
