Using the HT22 System - 20
For systems with more than
one encoder, the printer
must be connected to the
Main Encoder
To connect a parallel printer to the HT22, connect one
end of a standard parallel printer cable to the printer
you wish to use. This cable may not exceed 25 feet in
length. Connect the other end of the cable to the 25-pin
connector labeled PRINTER (see Figure 7 on page 22)
located on the rear panel of the HT22.

Programming the Lock
Now that we have everything connected, we need to
program the Mounted Sample Lock to use in the
training presentation.
First turn on all of the HT22 encoders. This is done by
turning the power switch located on the rear panel of
the encoder to the ON position. The encoder(s) will
perform some power on testing and then the Enter
Password screen appears.
On the Main Encoder, press the 5 key and then press
ENTER. (The HT22 system is shipped with a password
of ‘5’).
