or the circuit board of the lock. To isolate the problem,
first remove the lock from the door. Disconnect the
privacy wire from the inside escutcheon, but not from
the outside escutcheon of the lock.
Try the Guest Key again. If you still get the flashing red
and green light, the problem is with either the privacy
wire or the circuit board of the lock. If the problem goes
away, the micro switch on the inside escutcheon is the
problem. In this case, replace the inside escutcheon and
call tech support for an RGA to send the part in for
repair.
Remove the privacy wire from the outside escutcheon
of the lock. Try the Guest Key again. If you still get the
flashing red and green light, the problem is with the
circuit board of the lock. If not, the problem is with the
wire.
Replace the bad part and call technical support for an
RGA to either send the lock in for repair or to get a new
privacy wire.
Problem: A lock displays a flashing red and
green light to a housekeeping card.
This indicates one of two things. Either a guest in the
room has had the privacy switch activated, or the
housekeeper is trying to use the keycard during a time
period when the keycard not valid. If no one is in the
room, and the keycard is valid for this time period, use
the PP to check the time of the lock. This is done by
using the test function of the PP. If the time of the lock
is correct, follow the steps described on page 130 in the
section called
“Problem: A guest room lock displays a
flashing red and green light to a Guest Card.”
Problem: A lock displays a flashing red light to
a Guest Card.
This means that the lock was blocked with a Blocking
Card. If the room has been blocked to take it out of
