Place the BK7 reference sample

on the top surface of
the shift stage. To avoid unnecessary reflected light, it is recommended to put the
BK7 reference sample

on the center of the stage, where
there is a hole for letting light pass.

Double-click anywhere on the black area to switch between FOCUS and CT in the LIVE
window. You may obtain the same effect through choosing [Live] on the menu.
(A FOCUS window appears when the time the software opens.)

First, select the check box
marked “
AUTO
”
at the lower right of the FOCUS window.
Looking at the FOCUS window, use the focus adjuster to get an optimum focus
position of the BK7 reference sample

The focus adjuster contains a coarse tuning knob and a fine tuning knob.
The optimum focus position is the one that returns the smallest value of FOCUS:xxxx
(at the upper left of the window).
