Leap Second Status
UTC Leap Second compensation, when determined to be required by USNO, occurs at
midnight UTC on the last day in June or December. Leap Second adjustments are
automatically implemented in the unit. When the Leap Second occurrence is armed,
the unit's UTC time will automatically update within 1 minute after midnight UTC.
When a Leap Second occurs, one second is added or subtracted from the unit's time
as transmitted in the GPS data message on the last day of the current month. Leap
seconds are only applicable when UTC is selected as time reference. To view the Leap
Second Status:
