Control/Monitor Port Details

 

 

Document 365-8005, entitled RS-232 Communication Protocol, contains the detailed
description of commands applicable to the unit. A copy of this document is included
with each unit at time of shipment.

 

 

The baud rate can only be selected by means of the unit's front panel keypad, not by
commands through the RS-232 control interface port.

 

 

Note: The default Baud Rate is set to 19200 at time of shipment. Subsequent changes
in the Baud Rate are stored in non-volatile memory.

The TOD message is generated every second, and contains the time of the previously
generated 1 PPS. The message begins with an "On-Time" ASCI character "!". The
rising edge of the first "On-Time" character bit is synchronized to the 1 PPS Output
pulse.
