INITIAL INSPECTION
Inspect the shipping container for damage. Remove the unit from its shipping carton.
Carefully inspect the unit and its accessories for shipping damage. Any damage must
be reported immediately to the carrier. The shipping container and packing material
should be kept until the unit and accessories have been checked for mechanical
damage or defect, and until it has been determined that the unit and accessories
operate properly.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
Installation consists of mounting the antenna at a location that is not shrouded by taller
buildings, trees, or other antennas.
The connection of the unit to the antenna is via 50-Ohm coaxial cable. The unit
supplies a DC voltage on the center conductor of the antenna cable. This voltage
source is used to power the low noise amplifier in the antenna (and the optional in-line
amplifier, if used).
CAUTION!
A short circuit of the coaxial antenna cable for a duration longer than 10 seconds can
not be sustained without possible damage to the unit.
A weatherproofing compound should be applied to the junction of the cable and
antenna after the system has been installed to prevent corrosion of the connectors.
