Display Menus and Controls 5 - 26
This screen displays the present setting of the DAC and the status of the master reset.
The DAC value is the control number sent to the digital to analog converter that
controls the internal oscillator. The number ranges from 0 to 65535. Also displayed is
the oscillator type that is installed in the unit: OCXO (Osc Option -2), or Rubidium (Osc
Option -3).
Under normal operating conditions it is not necessary to manually alter the DAC value.
The value should only be manually changed after a reset of the most recent value
occurred caused by a component failure and replacement. The DAC value also resets
to the factory default after an upgrade of the unit's firmware has been made. If the most
recent value is known, it can be re-entered to speed up the disciplining of the internal
oscillator.
•
Press the Edit key. Use the arrow and number keys to select a new DAC value.
•
Press the Enter key to accept the new DAC value. To exit the edit screen, press
the Menu key.
If the most recent DAC value is not known, the value can be set to mid-range as
follows:
•
While viewing the Maintenance Menu 3 of 5, press the Edit key until Reset Unit
to Factory Defaults:
No
is flashing.
•
Use the arrow keys to select
