Connecting Ethernet

Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the computer’s Ethernet port.

Connect the other end to the printer’s Ethernet port (see figure 69).

Setting up the TCP/IP protocol
You have to configure the printer IP address,
subnet mask and default gateway IP address (check with your local
administrator). You can do this on the printer operator panel or via a
configuration file.
On the printer operator panel
Each of these three addresses is composed of 4
numeric fields ranging from 0 to 255. E.g. 194.2.66.146 or 255.255.255.0. On
the menu the following order is presented field 0, field 1, field 2, field 3.
